Ge Transportation Texas
GE Transportation, a maker of rail and transportation products, said today it plans on opening a new locomotive plant in Ft. Worth, Texas, a move that will result in the creation of 500 high-tech jobs.
In addition to the Ft. Worth project, GE said its hiring 250 workers for its existing plant in Erie, PA.
In Texas GE will invest $96 million in a facility that will manufacture, assemble and remanufacture GE’s rail and transportation-related products, including GE’s new fuel-efficient locomotives.
Production will kick off in 2012.
As an added incentive, Texas said it will commit up to $4.2 million in incentives toward the project through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF).

Kiddings aside, we filtered questions down to the essential six (as per our resume workshop) which you serioiusly need to ponder about before even starting to design your resume. Here we go:
1. What exactly do you want to do? Seriously. What exactly are you thinking about doing? Were you looking at the job description and the qualifications to match yours, or you just want a job, or just want to get the heck out of the present place.
You want a tailored resume to a dream career, you first need to know what you will be doing spending minimum 8 hours a day, 5 (or more) times a week, for many years?

Jobs
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently announced that it has granted $7-million to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security (MDES) to create temporary public service jobs, such as tornado cleanup jobs.
Mississippi qualified for the National Emergency Grant (NEG), because President Obama recently declared major disaster areas in the state due to damage caused by severe storms and resulting tornadoes, straight-line winds or flooding.
The temporary jobs provide short-term employment and wages to assist local unemployed workers in getting back up on their feet from the disaster, while also contributing to rebuilding and recovery efforts in the damaged communities.

Slingshot, a firm that specializes in search engine optimization, said today it is expanding in Indiana’s Far Northside to add 114 jobs.
Available jobs include search engine optimization consultants, software engineers, marketers and client success managers.
Gov. Mitch Daniels made the announcement today along with Slingshot executives and Indianapolis’s mayor.
