Mass Layoffs Report – Updated Monthly

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported today that employers completed 1,564 mass layoffs in April, causing 143,927 newly laid-off workers to file initial claims for unemployment benefits. Both numbers increased from March.
