The highest paying entry-level jobs for graduates

Snagging that high-paying job right out of college is no easy feat, but thanks to new research published today by Payscale and CareerBliss.com, graduates can get an idea of what pays the most.

According to the survey, these are the highest-paying entry-level jobs in 2011:

1. Systems Engineer $77,500 annually. Systems engineers are problem solvers with skills in a variety of disciplines. Companies hiring for these positions include Facebook and Salesforce.

2. Investment Banking Analyst $73,000 annually. Investment banking analysts advise financial corporations on making insightful investment decisions. Companies recruiting for analysts include Goldman Sachs and Barclays.

3. Software Engineer $72,000 annually. Those in the field will be expected to have a knowledge of programming languages such as Java and C++ and knowledge of operating systems such as Linux and Solaris. IBM and Google hire many of these a year.

4. Business Analyst $69,500 annually. Business analysts help companies leverage resources while maximizing profits and increasing productivity by creating new company business plans. UnitedHealth Group is always on the lookout for great candidates.

5. Network Engineer $68,500 annually. Network engineers manage both the hardware and software found in computer systems. Bloomberg, Hulu, and Vivisimo are examples of companies these grads may work for.

6. Quality Engineer $65,000 annually. These engineers collect and analyze data to ensure that quality control standards are being maintained. Lockheed Martin and Microsoft are often recruiting qualified candidates.

7. Registered Nurse $61,000 annually. Hospitals and clinics nationwide are actively looking for nurses right now.

8. Financial Analyst $60,000 annually. Financial analysts help corporations make huge investment decisions. Companies like Accountants International will pay big bucks for this entry-level talent.

9. Industrial Engineer $57,734 annually. Industrial engineers help organizations increase efficiency by observing how a company functions between its people, information, money, equipment and more. The Mayo Clinic is an example of a company that hires industrial engineers.

10. Information Sciences & Systems $54,038 annually. Amazon, OkCupid, and Merck are looking for these experts in cutting-edge technology.
